Ballistic Nylon is woven from nylon yarns of various denier (weight), with the double weave 1050 denier fabric being most durable for its weight level. It's sturdy, yet flexible nylon is resistant to abrasions, water, oil, sunlight and tearing and is backed with polyurethane (which aids in waterproofing). The material will not break down with age and can be used in temperatures continuously up to 250 °F, making it ideal for protecting hydraulic and pneumatic hoses in most working environments.

Custom built for hoses up to 10" in diameter, our Kevlar fiber is a lightweight fabric woven—face down—in a 3/1 left hand twill pattern. The fabric is coated on both sides with medium gray silicone rubber. It's resistant to some chemicals and acids and protects hydraulic and pneumatic hoses that may be exposed to rocks, sharp objects or edges, caustic or acidic substances or heat up to 600°F, making it a good application where a stronger, denser fabric is needed.

NOTE: Our Kevlar fabric has passed FAA's one hour "Igloo Fire Test", which may allow certain narrow body combi airplane operators to comply with the FAA's new air worthiness directive #AD-93-07-15.

Custom built for hoses that are minimum 10" in diameter, our Coated Silica Cloth is a woven, continuous filament amorphous silica fabric featuring a red silicone rubber coating. It's resistant to most chemicals and provides thermal protection. It's ideal for hoses in environments that are exposed to direct heat and temperatures up to 1,800 °F.
